[REVIEW] lenfriedom DL-Card Prototype

It's been a while since we last had a Lenfried ROM release and the last ones have been great R-18 ROM and R-15+ mini-ROM. After almost 3 years, Lenfried (Lenlen as me and my friends call her!w) is back with a new photo book set. This time, a wholesome but still sexy ROM/photo book similar to her lenfriedom Type-H.

lenfriedom DL-Card Prototype was released at Cosnug. event last Sunday (June 10) in the form of a downloadable card instead of being in the usual CD format. It costs 1000JPY and contains around 250 photos which is not bad considering the cost of last the ROM released, Lencolle Monochrome, which costs the same but only contains around 150 photos. One reason for the price difference perhaps is because of how lewd the contents are. It is Lenlen's selling point anyway, right?

The mail-order via BOOTH is offered at the same price and is available in PDF and ZIP format.

The photo book includes five (5) different sets of Lenfried in casual clothing or Portrait shots (私服ポートレート). The photos in this set were shot over the past three years (2015-2017, also 2018?) so you may notice some differences in Lenlen's appearance~ In one set of photos, she looks chubby and THICC as if she's preggy...www While in the other ones, she looks more fit and younger, though she never looks like she's aging anyway...www

While it is rated as R-15 and even got their circle included in the R-18 area at Cosnug, this photo set is pure and wholesome with a pinch of Lenfried's sense of teasing. If you've already seen type-H, that's basically this set minus the exposures. A milder R-15 ROM to be exact.

Don't fret, you might think the photobook sounds boring but there's definitely something to satisfy your fetishes. Lenlen did some パンチラ (pantsu shots) throughout the set and I find that already satisfying. We can also see some THICC Lenlen photos~! Thighs, legs, pantsu shots, intentionally lifting her skirt, sticking out her tongue~ Sadly no peeing and paipan exposure for now. In short, this is not an Ero-cosplay photo book.

I'll describe this photobook as AESTHETICALLY PLEASING and SATISFYING! Well yeah, this isn't your typical Lenfried ROM release but the main selling point here is the other side of Lenlen~ The cuteness and purity, her child-like face and smile~ plus her naughty expressions while not exposing anything turns out will still effectively make you aroused~www Lenlen will never fail to make you fall in love with her~! It's like watching your little sister having fun!w Lenfried has this unique charisma that makes me love her more and more whether she do lewd or casual photos.

So, is it worth purchasing this new work?! HELL YES! For hardcore fans like me, everything Lenfried will release is worth buying. It might not be your typical Lenfried ROM which is usually contains exposures, peeing, and other fetishes she's known for, but I'm telling you this photo book is just as good as her other works. I got so excited about the announcement that I was unable to sleep well waiting for the mail-order to open!www While I don't mind buying her older stuffs, I prefer the actual CDs over the DL versions since almost all of them are now uploaded online, which is sad. With her mail-order page finally out, we can expect her new ROMs will be available for purchase in 1-2 days after the event release. (Although I saw some people reacting to the new photo book's lack of exposure and even calling the photo book a "garbage". Those people can't appreciate the beauty of this photo book, they are just a bunch of horny shits!w)

【SOME SIDE NOTES】

I always recommend you support the cosplayers' works by buying it in their mail-order page and refrain from sharing/uploading the sets online. Yes, the cosplayers seem not to care at all but I'm pretty sure they are pissed off with guys who upload their works online. 

Yeah, why do you have to upload her works after buying it? ><

If one can't afford or unable to buy because of the payment settlement process (Ex. Oh me no Credit Card Uh-oh!), doing a private group buy with your friends who can purchase the ROM will be a good option. Adding a little boost for Lenlen is always a good thing to do to encourage her to continue making new ROMs! (I gave a ¥300 boost for this work but I hope I could have gave more than that! >< Of course, Lenlen expressed her delight to all those who gave a BOOST and said that she'll do her best to add up to our expectations!) So, instead of downloading it illegally in doujin-sharing sites, better buy it from her mail-order page listed at the end of this review. 

Don't make it an excuse that you can't use your credit card or you are just being generous to others who can't buy Lenfried's or other cosplayers' stuffs so you are uploading and sharing it. And for those who bought the new photo book, please be a responsible fan. If you want to share it to your friends and others, do it privately, only share it to people you trust, ask them to try buying her works next time and never upload it. I'm saying this over and over again in almost all my review because I want everyone to properly support cosplayers like Lenfried.

What to look forward to in the future? Well, we can expect Lenfried to be back in making ROMs from now on. She might not going to be releasing ROMs at every event but with the mail-order page finally open we can always expect she'll do new ROMs! On the other note, Damisu-san's circle Heruheru3 will be joining Cosholic 23 this summer and hopefully Lenfried will release a new R-18 ROM! Looks like Damisu-san is also planning to continue using the DL-card format and will be improving it over time. So let's continue to support her now that she's back! ♥

[Hanaji Sensei's POV] Sexy Cosplay and Ero Cosplay ROM: It's Just 'Cosplay' ROM

I've been collecting Cosplay CD-ROMs for 5 years now and most of them are Sexy and Ero Cosplay ROMs. So what's the difference between a Sexy and an Ero Cosplay ROM?

I define Sexy cosplays as cosplays which are, well... 'sexy', hot yet not very revealing, suggestive but not explicit. In a sexy Cosplay ROM, the cosplayer usually displays sexually attractive poses but doesn't expose any private parts. Although it is not limited to stripping clothes or exposing cleavages and panties. It also depends on the type of the characters they are cosplaying. Some characters are simply created with sexy outfits. Good examples of this genre are Itsuki Akira, Enako, Kei Shino, and Hiiragi Mayon.

While Ero cosplays which stands for 'Erotic Cosplay', as the name suggests, can range from being decently sexy to being extremely lewd. Sometimes it may even include sexual acts. Yes, with that said, Sexy cosplay can be considered as Ero cosplay as well but that depends if the cosplayer acknowledge it herself. But what makes an ero cosplay 'erotic' in my opinion is the presence of fetishes being displayed in every ROM and the act of exposing (or at least deliberately trying to expose) their private parts, sometimes nudity. It sounds kinda contradicting with my definition of sexy cosplay but you'll get it...www Well-known examples of ero cosplayers are Lenfried, Ushijima Iiniku, Yutori, Higurashi Rin and Ran, Hiyo Nishizuku, Ai Saotome, Eri Kitami (MEGANE FETISH!!!) and even some Japanese AV Stars like Kana Yume and Abeno Miku. They are usually attending the Cosholic event to sell their ROMs but they also participate in Comiket if they pass the selection.

Then, there are ROMs which are hard to tell which of the two genre it belongs. Unless the cosplayer tell you that it is an Ero Cosplay or Sexy Cosplay ROM. But in general, they never really call it 'Ero Cosplay ROM' or 'Sexy Cosplay ROM'. It is just a 'Cosplay ROM'. The problem is that most people always refer to sexy cosplays as ero cosplays and some cosplayers don't want to call their kind of cosplay ero that is why I have to distinguish the two genre.

Atsuki's ROMs are good examples of ROMs mixed between being Sexy and Ero Cosplay 

It mostly depends on the contents of the ROMs. We also have the ratings for it, R-15 and R-18 Ero cosplay ROM. It's hard to explain what my point really is... But at the end of the day, a Cosplay ROM is just a Cosplay ROM.

But it doesn't necessarily mean that sexy and ero-cosplays are 'bad' cosplays due to their lewd nature. I know that in some countries such cosplay is not acceptable. I feel really sorry about it. Still, I appreciate such genre for its artistic and unique approach in cosplay. To fully appreciate these kind of works, 'RESPECT' towards the cosplayers is important.

In the end, a Cosplay ROM is a Cosplay ROM.
