Cos-Koi (コスこい) ~I Fell in Love with Cosplayers~: A Cosplay Love-Adventure Game

Have you ever attended an event like Comiket and fell in love with some cosplayers while taking their photos?

Cos-Koi ~ I fell in Love with Cosplayers~ (コスこい!~コスプレイヤーに、恋をした。~) is an original Love-Adventure Simulation Game (similar to VNs) produced by three Japanese cosplayers, Anago (穴子), Kei Shino (志乃蛍), and Matsuri (茉梨) released on Comiket 86 last year. With Kei Akiba (秋葉 圭) as their photographer.

The story revolves around a first-time cosplay photographer (your character), his friend (A huge guy!) named Gozaru (ござる君)and the three cosplayers, Miharu (Anago), Akane (Kei Shino) and Mikan (Matsuri). Your character happens to purchase a SLR camera and was invited by Gozaru in an Summer event, Tomike! (Yes, you've guessed it! It's Comiket! ^^) And there, you'll meet the three heroines!

Miharu is played by Anago-san is the eldest of the three heroines. Her character color theme is blue. She got long black hair and a hinnyu~ (small oppai ><) Her personality appears to be strict, scary (?) but she appears to be a shy person.

Akane, played by Kei Shino, is the mediator of the group. Her character theme is red. Cheerful and bright, her hairstyle is ponytail! Breast size is... Huge! But can't be compare to Mikan?w Akane seems to be one of the easiest to approach among the three heroines.

Mikan, played by Matsuri, is the youngest of the three heroines. Her character theme is yellow. Mikan is very energetic! Her appearance, twin tails and got a very huge oppai!!! >< She also appears to be aggressive! (^^;ゞ (She can be very seducing sometimes... ><)

The game is not only an ADV dating game, it also includes photography etiquette and trends in cosplay events similar to Comiket. You will also learn about how these Japanese cosplayers work in events, things like selling Cosplay ROMs and exchanging meishi (business cards) with photographers, working as an assistant on corporate booths, etc. Then eventually things will get deeper and you will be getting their SNS (like COSTTER, the Twitter counterpart in the game) and join the photo shoots they are setting.  Moreover, you will be playing as a photographer so you will also learn about some activities that a kameko (Cosplay photographer) usually do, from taking photos, to retouch processing and giving/showing it to the respective cosplayers in their SNS accounts.  Just like a VN, it has multiple endings (can either be a good or a bad ending) depending on your choices and who you get along with well!

Just to be clear, this game is not referring to cosplay events as a place to find someone to date but rather telling the possibilities that a cosplay photographer might experience/feel when meeting cosplayers in events for the first time and the development of certain relationships between a cosplayer and a photographer. Just so you know, the relationship between both Cosplayer and Kameko is a mutual one where they respect each other.

Gameplay is pretty much simple like most VNs. But will still have to see what's in store as I progress in the game. The game will tickle your imagination, and hopefully can be enjoyed by cosplayers, cosplay fans, enthusiasts, and photographers alike!

Cos-Koi is now also available for download! CosKoi DL Ver. costs ¥1,200 in CosKoi Store Site: (http://cos-koi.stores.jp/) Payment method thru credit card is accepted. Be reminded that the game contents are in Japanese. Nevertheless, you can use the VN Reader to translate the game scripts/texts from Japanese to English. You can use this guide for installation: http://www.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/iboqn/guide_how_to_hook_and_extract_vns_text_ie_how_to/ (Translation is not accurate but can be easily understood if you have basic Japanese language knowledge)

You can request for a walkthrough of the game if you want to. Just let me know! (^^)

[GUIDE] Verifying your Paypal Account using Unionbank's EON Card

Having a Paypal account is like having an online wallet.

I just want to share to you my experience on having my Paypal Account verified using Unionbank's EON Card (Debit Card) and how you can have Paypal funds in your account.

Nowadays, everything we want can't all be seen/bought in physical stores in our local places. The reason why there is an increasing number of online shoppers recently. But the problem is even if you have Paypal Account and funds on it, you cannot just buy everything you want to without verifying it. Some stores require the verification of your Paypal account since they are using Paypal for payment terms. So how can we verify our Paypal account without using credit card?

If you're living in Philippines, you'll probably be seeing a little light of hope!w All we need is to apply for a EON Card @ Unionbank. This is a debit card which can also be used to verify your PP Account. What's good about this is that Unionbank cards can really be used to verify PP accounts compared to other bank's which can't assist you when you tried to link the cards to Paypal.

HOW TO APPLY FOR EON CARD?

Simply refer to this link: (Click me!) and read carefully. This is for online application. Check if there is a nearby Unionbank branch in your area which accepts online application so you can just pick it up when you go there. In my case, the nearest branch don't accept online application/pick up so I have to go there personally to apply for one.

What to bring when your applying personally to a branch?

  • Be sure to bring 2 valid IDs (Passport and Postal ID in my case. If you're a student, you have to bring your student ID at least.)
  • Photocopies of your IDs
  • 350 Php for the annual fee (Bring it just in case, but I wasn't asked to pay for it on my first visit... not until I got my card.)
Upon presenting your requirements to the assigned officer, you will be asked for your personal information. Please bear in mind that this is a very critical stage so always verify the information you're going to tell the officer. Be sure that the address you'll be filling in is also the address you have input in your Paypal account. Also, if you have a two-name first name (e.g. John Andrew [Surname]) yAnd then you can leave now! You'll  be able to get it after 5 days depending on the time you applied. (If you apply online, wait for 5 days then you can just pick up the card in just one visit to the bank~)

After a week, I went back to the bank to claim my card. EON Card does not require any initial deposit but you have to bring at least Php 200.00 for deposits. Why? This is needed for the verification of your Paypal account. And if you don't have any funds in your Paypal Account, better if you deposit the amount you needed to buy online. Hey! I'm not saying you can use your EON Card to pay directly to a store, ok? This is only if you want to buy Paypal Funds to a Paypal funds seller @ sulit.ph (I know someone who sells Paypal fund at a rate of P44.00 = $1 and the payment is through EON Card deposits. Don't worry, the guy is reliable and trustworthy. ^^) Keep your card number and pin number after claiming your card.

ENROLLING YOUR E-BANKING ACCOUNT

Ok, once you got your card and deposited the amount you needed (the Php 200.00 is required however~), you can now enroll your EON card to the Unionbank Online Banking. Carefully fill up the application. If you possess a two-name first name (e.g. John Andrew [Surname]), please enter the complete first name and don't be confused about what name is on your card. After you complete your application, you will be asked to wait 48 hours before you can open your E-Bank account. While waiting for it, be sure that you have already linked your EON to your Paypal account, or you can just wait for your E-Bank to be activated.

Oh, when you link your EON Debit card to your Paypal, Paypal will charge your card (Php 99.00 in my case) but don't worry because this will be converted to a Paypal fund so when you check your Paypal account, you'll be having more or less $2.00. Then next will be the EXPUSE Number, which will be found in your E-Bank account 2-3 days after you linked your EON to your Paypal. This is needed to complete your Paypal verification.

WHERE TO FIND THE EXPUSE? Easy! First thing to do is log-in to your E-Banking account then browse your transaction history. You have to find a transaction with Transaction Description like this:

VISA-PP*####CODE SG(###)

This should have a transaction amount of 99.00 or 100.00. You just have to copy the number indicated in the #### and then paste it in the Paypal verification window when EXPUSE is asked. Viola! You're done and ready for shopping!w

What?! Fund Problems? Hmm... Yes, since you're not using a credit card, nothing can be used in your PP as payment. It's either you have to work for it online (like me~ ODesk Jobs) or buy it from a trusted Paypal Fund Seller usually found @ sulit.com.ph~ But be very careful... Choosing your seller can lead you to SCAM especially if the offer is very cheap (ex. Php 39 = 1 USD). So never be deceived by them. Always check their feedbacks and make sure they are 100% Positive Feedbacks and has to be not below 30 feed backs.

Making sure you're not going to be SCAMMED by others, here are two trusted Paypal Seller on sulit.com.ph so far (I have transaction with one of them~ ^^):

nocollateral: (http://sulit.com.ph/3189633)
digitalmindz (http://sulit.com.ph/2658515) ← Have transacted with this guy before and very reliable~

Their prices change every now and then, but they are in between 43-44php for 1 USD. How will you be buying funds from them? Use your EON!w That's why I'm advising you to deposit certain amount into your account so you can use it both online and on the real world~ :3

I hope this guide helps! This guide is made especially to those fans of Kei Shino on Facebook who are living in the Philippines and want to buy her Cosplay ROMs. Problem Solved! Enjoy shopping online!
